Upper Dublin, Blue Bell and Horsham Real Estate and Homes for Sale in Pennsylvania
HomeUpper Dublin Requires Property Transfer Certification
Winter is taking a toll on our streets and our sidewalks. If you are thinking of selling your Upper Dublin home in the near future Upper Dublin Townships requirements for sidewalks and curb at street must be met to transfer ownership of your property.
Clear guidelines have been set for Upper Dublin Real Estate professionals and home owners.
Upper Dublin Township has a list of recent Contractors that have taken permits out for sidewalk repairs. You can use any contractor you choose, as long as they follow Upper Dublin Township requirements. This list is useful to give you several contractor names for Upper Dublin homeowners to refer to for future estimates.
The Township has eliminated a portion of the ordinance that would have required interior inspections at time of transfer. The following elements are required:

- Sidewalks in safe condition.
- Smoke alarms installed in bedrooms and in all habitable levels of the house (older homes may use battery-powered detectors).
- Clear legible address numbers must be posted.
- Pumps and drains must be properly installed, not connected to sanitary sewer lines
Please note: Only the sidewalk and building address elements of the ordinance require an inspection from township staff. The other conditions necessary for certification will require a notarized affidavit by the seller.
